New Gear for Winter 2019: Designing From A Dog’s Perspective

Our dogs are our constant companions. With the right gear, they can join us comfortably in our outdoor pursuits, allowing us to go farther and share more experiences together. This belief has been Ruffwear’s path of inspiration, discovery, and innovation from the beginning.

With our Winter 2019 gear launch, we continue to celebrate the rewarding journey we share with our dogs on the road less traveled, and how it has taught us about Designing From A Dog’s Perspective.

Explore below to see what’s new from Ruffwear for Winter 2019.

Overcoat Fuse™ Jacket

The Overcoat Fuse distills years of designing harnesses and apparel into a single jacket-harness combo, giving dogs who typically layer gear a seamless solution for getting outside in cool weather and light precipitation. Simply slip on, clip in, and go with this rugged workhorse of a jacket that has leash attachment points both on the back and the chest. Stash pick-up bags or small essentials in the two zippered pockets.

Flagline™ Harness

The Flagline Harness is a fast, light, and comfortable harness that keeps dogs in their flow, from scrambling in the backcountry to conquering everyday obstacles. The nimble design is great for all A handle and load-dispersing chest/belly panel make for easy lift-and-assist in a nimble design good for all-day wear. High adjustability and easy on/off make the Flagline secure and accessible, giving dogs a little boost and a lot of freedom when the path ahead is anything but flat.

Pacific Ring™ Toy

For dogs whose love language is play, the Pacific Ring speaks volumes. Its versatile design engages a range of play preferences – especially zealous fetchers and tuggers. Interactive by design, the Pacific Ring’s high-tenacity rope establishes a tug-worthy build while also providing a flexible, flight-friendly shape. It’s a fun, rewarding way to strengthen the bond between canine and human.

Pacific Loop™ Toy

For handlers of avalanche rescue dogs, the Pacific Loop is a tool that motivates and rewards canines in training and at work. Two grab handles keep hands clear of eager mouths and the tug pad, making for a rewarding tug interaction. Built to withstand day-in-day-out use, it delights not just dogs on the job, but any canine who finds nothing’s more fun than a good ol’ fashioned game of tug.

We hope this season’s gear inspires to find your own road less traveled. Let us know what paths you and your sidekick are planning to take this winter in the comments below, or by tagging @ruffwear on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. Happy trails!

  1. I was wondering if you carry doggy boots for Snow, Rain, and Really Cold Temperatures that are Waterproof and also go all the way up the leg not just on your doggies paws.
