We know that a large portion of the Eastern US is still in a bit of a freeze, but Spring is knocking at our door. We promise!

This Sunday, most of us will adjust our clocks forward one hour in observance of daylight savings. This small act marks a significant shift in seasons, welcoming warmer temperatures and more importantly, later sunsets!

We like to think that daylight savings is a time to celebrate the season to come… a season with longer days that allow for more time to spend outdoors doing the activities we love. An extra hour of daylight means more opportunities to take our dogs out after work and sneak in a mountain bike ride, trail run, paddle or hike. That extra hour of daylight during the weekend means longer days in the mountains leading to more ambitious missions to remote wilderness settings.

Photo - Dylan VanWeelden To celebrate the longer days, we’d like to encourage you to post photos of you and your dog outdoors during sunset on Sunday, March 8th. Tag your photos with #LaterSunsets. If you want to make it even more fun, post a photo of a sunset adventure from both Saturday and Sunday, recording the time the sun set each day.

Join us this weekend in celebrating later sunsets!

To join the #LaterSunsets community, simply share a photo on Instagram from your sunset adventures this Saturday and Sunday. In the copy of the post, note the time of the photo and include the hashtag #LaterSunsets.

We may even pick an entry or two to win a few Ruffwear prizes.

Happy sunset adventures!
