It’s December. The temps are getting colder and the puffy jackets are out in full force. They can be seen on the trail, mountain, and all over town. Why do we humans love this cold weather staple? Insulated jackets are warm, lightweight and comfortable. We designed the The Quinzee™, the final coat in our Exploring Dog Jackets series, to deliver the same warm, lightweight benefits to dogs everywhere.
The Quinzee is filled with synthetic Thermore™ insulation. This insulating layer traps the dog’s core body heat keeping them warm in extreme cold temperatures. An added bonus, this Thermore insulation is made of 50% recycled materials. The outer shell fabric is weather, snag and abrasion resistant and contains 40% recycled materials.
Ruffwear’s sales expert, Dove, says that for “Fall/Winter Steelheading, the go-to coat is the Quinzee. Easy on and off, it provides warmth after a long day in the water. And when paired with the Highlands Bed™, it is the perfect ‘sleeping bag’.”
Other great features of this dog jacket include:
- Two sheltered side-release buckles and a zippered collar for easy on and off
- An integrated stuff sack – the jacket stuffs into a built in pocket for transport
- 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective trim for visibility in low-light conditions
- Light Loop near the collar for attaching The Beacon™ or any other safety light
- Available in Red Rock or Granite Gray
Vince in marketing mentioned, “Our Carolina rescue dog loves the Quinzee. He gets cold pretty easy when he’s in between activities in the snow and this jacket keeps his core nice and toasty. It probably doesn’t help that he loves to eat the snow and ice while we are out skiing or ice climbing, but as long as he’s having fun!”
