December Dog Tale of the Month – Sophie’s First Snow Adventure

from: Greg (Ruff Wear’s Retail Brand Planner) and Sophie (newest canine addition to the Ruff Wear Pack)

location: Bend, Oregon

Hi, Sophie Here…

I know it’s been a little while since my first blog post. As promised, I wanted to give you feedback on all of Ruff Wear’s great toys. I have tried them and can’t wait to tell you what I think.

But, toys are going to have to wait. You see, over the weekend here in Bend, Oregon we had an unpredicted snow storm that dumped a foot of fresh new snow outside my door. Having never seen snow before, all I can say is THIS STUFF IS AWESOME! The Weather Man predicted VERY cold temperatures here so my human brought home a pair of boots for me to test out.  At first I thought, “What the heck is this crazy human doing?”  Yeah, they felt a little funny at first, but you know what, I never knew I was such a great dancer! All geared up, my big brother and I were out the door to play in the snow.

Here’s my big brother Ricky, smiling for the camera…he’s such a ham!

As you can see from the photos, it was early morning and the sun was not quite all the way up. It was cold (8 degrees), but my paws felt great! No snow between my toes!

Me and my Boots!

As I mentioned in my last post, there are certain benefits to having a human that works for Ruff Wear. One of them is unlimited access to test gear. Because my little paws are still growing it would not make sense to buy me a pair of boots quite yet but they sure were fun to try (I need to try and track down data on when dogs paws stop growing). One day when I am old enough, I will have a pair of my own. Just like my big brother Ricky.
